These are excerpts from a small text called Abairtí, which means "Sentences."

Cuir Bearla ar an sceal seo:

Shiúil Liam ar scoil ar maidin inniu. Shroich sé an teach scoile ar a naoi a chlog. Bhain sé a chóta mór de agus chroch sé suas é. Chuaigh sé isteach sa seomra ranga agus shuigh sé síos.

Thóg sé a leabhar Gaeilge as a mhála. Chuir sé an mála faoin mbinse agus thosaigh sé ag foghlaim.

Cuir Gaeilge ar an sceal seo:

Pól got a small white rabbit. He named him Báinín. Pól's father made a little house for him. Pól gave him cabbage to eat. He gave him milk to drink.

One day Pól went out in the garden. The door of the little house was open and Báinín was gone. Pól searched the garden. He found the rabbit lying in the grass. Pól felt great joy.
