artisans and performing musicians, the West Virginia Division of
Culture and History offers grants to working artists within the state.
Members of Mountain Thyme were among the recipients of these awards in
Spring 1999, and relate their experiences connecting their traditional
musical style with its roots in Scotland, Ireland, and England.
